About the event
If you’re intrigued by the world of folk dance, looking for a queer group where you can embrace the beauty of yours and others' self-expression, be in a space to share stories and connect to the heritage of our land in Norfolk through music dance, folklore and art, then this is for you.
Folk That dance is a dance group for LGBTQIA+ women, trans, gender-fluid and non-binary folk.
Over eight workshops, we’re following the Celtic Wheel of the Year, using the turning seasons as a starting point for making dances together.
We’ll notice what’s happening around us — the things that are growing, changing, resting and beginning again — and turn those observations into new folk dances.
